April M Rimpo is a signature member of eight watercolor societies, the International Society of Acrylic Painters, and the International Society of Experimental Art (ISEA). You can learn more about these organizations below.
Each society has their own set of criteria for achieving Signature status. Most commonly the criterial for Signature Artist is acceptance in three annual juried exhibitions held by that organization.
April status in BWS is at the Signature - Watermedia Master level. In WAS-H she has achieved Elite Signature status and in ISEA April was elevated to Nautilus Fellowship status. Each of these elevated statuses required acceptance into 6 of their Annual juried exhibition.
Baltimore Watercolor Society, Inc. (BWS)
A MID-ATLANTIC ORGANIZATION OF WATERMEDIA ARTISTS The Baltimore Watercolor Society was established in 1885 and is a registered 501 (c) (3) organization.
Georgia Watercolor Society (GWS)
The Georgia Watercolor Society was formed in March 1975 to advance the art of watercolor painting.
Illinois Watercolor Society (IWS)
The mission of the Illinois Watercolor Society is to advance the education and caliber of watercolor painting throughout Illinois.
International Society of Experimental Artists (ISEA)
ISEA was founded in 1991 to create an organization that celebrated experimentation and exploration and provided a way to share ideas and information.
International Society of Acrylic Painters (ISAP)
Our mission was to represent and encourage artists using acrylic media and to promote the use of acrylic by painters worldwide.
Missouri Watercolor Society (MoWS)
The Missouri Watercolor Society recognizes the use of any water based media as long as it is done on paper or a paper product: transparent watercolor, acrylic, casein, egg tempera, gouache and pen and inks.
Pennsylvania Watercolor Society (PWS)
Our mission is to encourage, promote, and enhance water media painting on paper through the education of the artist and the public.
Southern Watercolor Society (SW)
SW was formed to elevate the stature of watercolor paint-ers and educate the public to the significance of watercolor painting as an important creative, permanent painting medium. SW is dedicated to the highest aesthetic standards.
